It was primarily a support band local bands such as Coal Chamber or Sevendust. They broke up afterward. When she turned 25 she moved to California in the state of California to Los Angeles looking for her biggest break. Brink started working in store and also singing in bars. Her search was for bands. She met Chris Howorth, the band's present member, during a music audition two years later. Howorth refused to audition her because she was a woman. He quickly changed his opinion and apologised after hearing her singing. They created the Dying Stars band with Jeff Fabb, a drummer.
